On the afternoon of July 18, 2024, the solo exhibition "The past's future" by American artist Sin-Ying Ho grandly opened at the Longquan Research Institute of Jingdezhen Ceramic University. The guests attending the opening ceremony included Qiu Zhangping, Director of the Longquan City Industrial Bureau; Zhong Maxin, Director of the Longquan City Science and Technology Bureau; Jia Xiaoyu, Deputy Director of the Longquan City Industrial Bureau; Lin Li from the Longquan City Industrial Bureau; Deng Minjun from the Longquan City Culture and Tourism Bureau; Hu Huamin from the Longquan City Science and Technology Bureau; Nie Huafei from the Longquan Celadon Museum; and masters from Longquan such as Xu Dingchang, Chen Tangen, Chen Shanlin, as well as Xia Houwen, Chen Aiming, Chen Xituo, Xu Zhehua, Chen Yongde, Jin Yirui, Wu Zhixing, Mei Hongling, Chen Hua, and Ye Chenxi. Other notable attendees included Professor Jin Wenwei, Associate Professor Hu Jun, and Teacher Yan Yonghao from Jingdezhen Ceramic University; Professor Wu Yongping from the Central Academy of Fine Arts; Professor Zhang Qingyuan from Tainan National University of the Arts in Taiwan, China; Professor Li Lihong from Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts; Professor Yang Wuwei from the Celadon Studies Department of Lishui University; Professor Zhu Naya and Teacher Wu Mingxuan from Lishui University; Teachers Jiang Lili and Zhang Li from Longquan Vocational High School; Dr. Luo Zhihua from Guangdong Peizheng College; and Yang Qing, a master from the China Light Industry Ceramic Research Institute and a master of Chinese arts and crafts. Also present were Wang Guanlin and Feng Jun, the heads of Taoxichuan; Chen Guanghui, a professor from Shanghai University; Lu Bin, a professor from Nanjing University of the Arts; Zhang Yue from the Longquan Research Institute of the China Academy of Art; Shen Xinning, the curator of Cixi Gallery in Zhejiang; Wang Ying, the curator of Beijing Image Gallery; American artist Philip Lenard; Sin-Ying Ho, the resident artist; Huang Yunxuan from the Los Angeles Art Institute; Fang Hui from the Art and Design College of Shenzhen Polytechnic; Canadian artists Huang Boshi and Zhou Zhen; Eliza Au from the University of Texas at Dallas; Japanese ceramic artist Mayu Ueda; Hong Kong ceramic artist Lai Chaoqing; Taiwanese artist Du Yujie; Australian artist Janet Deboos; Ecuadorian artists Tomás Carpio and Alegría Mateljan; and Korean artist Jung Ji-hyun, among more than 150 domestic and international guests. The opening speeches were delivered by the curator, Professor Jin Wenwei, a doctoral advisor at Jingdezhen Ceramic University; resident artist Sin-Ying Ho; and Xu Dingchang, President of the Zhejiang Province Ceramic Association. The opening ceremony was hosted by executive curator Wu Fanqin.

研究院执行院长金文伟教授在开幕式上对驻场艺术家何善影在驻场期间的辛勤创作表示了衷心的感谢，并对所有为研究院驻场艺术家项目作出贡献的社会各界人士表达了诚挚的谢意。他表示，此次展览标志着研究院第一次驻场艺术家项目的成功，并期待研究院能继续为龙泉市带来更多跨文化的交流机会，并吸引更多院校学生前来学习，共同推动龙泉青瓷的传承与发展。
At the opening ceremony, Professor Jin Wenwei, Executive Director of the Longquan Research Institute, expressed heartfelt gratitude to resident artist Sin-Ying Ho for her diligent work during her residency. He also extended sincere thanks to all the individuals from various sectors who contributed to the institute's artist-in-residence program. Professor Jin stated that this exhibition marks the successful completion of the institute's first artist-in-residence program. He looks forward to the institute continuing to bring more cross-cultural exchange opportunities to Longquan and attracting more students from various institutions to come and learn, thereby jointly promoting the inheritance and development of Longquan celadon.

Artist Sin-Ying Ho expressed her gratitude to the Longquan Research Institute team and to all the people who helped her in both her work and daily life. She particularly cherished the time spent in Longquan, believing that this period not only enriched her artistic cultivation but also gave her a deeper understanding and appreciation of Longquan celadon. She hopes that through this exhibition, people around the world will gain a greater understanding and appreciation of the unique charm of Longquan celadon.

龙泉陶瓷大师徐定昌在开幕式上首先感谢了研究院执行院长金教授对龙泉青瓷走向国际化道路作出的贡献，并特别感谢了驻场艺术家何善影对龙泉青瓷文化的宣传和弘扬。在讲话中，徐定昌大师还表达了对国外艺术家的热烈欢迎，希望与国外艺术家加强陶瓷文化的交流，帮助年轻人创新和发展龙泉青瓷文化。
During the opening ceremony, Master Xu Dingchang, a renowned Longquan celadon artist, first expressed his gratitude to Professor Jin, the Executive Director of the Research Institute, for his contributions to the internationalization of Longquan celadon. He also extended a special thanks to the resident artist Sin-Ying Ho for her efforts in promoting and celebrating Longquan celadon culture. In his speech, Master Xu warmly welcomed foreign artists and expressed his hope for increased exchange with international artists to help young people innovate and develop Longquan celadon culture.
