展览预告 | “过去的未来”驻场艺术家何善影个人展览
“The past‘s future” — a solo exhibition by American artist Sin-ying Ho, will hold its opening ceremony at 3:30 PM on July 18, 2024, at the Longquan Research Institute of Jingdezhen Ceramic University and will run until September 18. This exhibition showcases 20 exceptional ceramic pieces created by resident artist Sin-ying Ho during her residency at the Longquan Research Institute of Jingdezhen Ceramic University. The exhibited works narrate her understanding and imagination of celadon in the dimensions of time and space during her time in Longquan. She skillfully combines the charm of traditional celadon with elements of time and space, with each piece embodying her profound reflections on the past and future of celadon art.
“过去的未来”——美国艺术家何善影个人展览，将于2024年7月18日下午3:30在景德镇陶瓷大学龙泉研究院举办开幕仪式，展览持续至9月18日。本次展览甄选了驻场艺术家何善影在景德镇陶瓷大学龙泉研究院创作的20件优秀陶艺作品。展览作品叙述了她于龙泉创作期间，对青瓷在时间与空间维度上的理解与想象。她巧妙地将传统青瓷的韵味与时空的元素相结合，每一件作品都承载着她对青瓷艺术过去与未来的深刻思考。

Artist Profile
何善影/Sin-ying Ho
Education Background:
In 1995, Sin-ying Ho received an Honors Diploma in Craft and Design from Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario. In 1997, Ho obtained a Bachelor's degree from Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Halifax. In 2001, Ho earned a Master's degree from Louisiana State University in the United States.
Teaching Experience:
From 2001 to 2002, Professor Ho taught at Southeastern Louisiana University in the United States. In 2003, she held a teaching position at Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Vancouver, Canada. From 2004 to 2005, she worked at Alberta College of Art and Design in Calgary, Canada. From 2005 to 2006, she taught at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. Since 2006, she has been an Associate Professor of Ceramics Art at Queens College, City University of New York.
Professor Ho has conducted workshops, lectures, and exhibitions across Canada, including at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Harvard University, Hong Kong, and Jingdezhen in China, a city with over 1000 years of porcelain history. Her works have been exhibited in the United States, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, France, Germany, Romania, India, Turkey, and Italy. In 2011, Professor Ho was nominated for the Louis Comfort Tiffany Biennial Fellowship in New York.
Professor Ho's series "Eden" was exhibited at Giovanni Nicelli Private Airport on Lido Island, Venice, during the 2022 Venice Biennale. Her works are included in the permanent collections of various museums, corporate companies, and private collections, such as the American Museum of Ceramic Art in California, the Hood Museum of Art in New Hampshire, the Gardiner Museum in Toronto, the Glenbow Museum in Calgary, the Icheon World Ceramic Centre in Korea, the Yingge Ceramics Museum in Taiwan, and the Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong.
Professor Ho serves as an advisor to the Taoxichuan Art Centre in Jingdezhen, China, and is a trustee of the Watershed Centre of Ceramic Art.

何教授的系列作品《伊甸园》在2022年威尼斯双年展期间，于威尼斯丽都岛的乔瓦尼·尼切利私人机场展出。她的作品被多家博物馆、公司和私人收藏，包括美国加州陶瓷艺术博物馆、新罕布什尔州胡德艺术博物馆、加拿大多伦多加德纳博物馆、卡尔加里格伦博博物馆、韩国利川世界陶瓷中心、台湾莺歌陶瓷博物馆，以及加拿大驻香港总领事馆等。
何教授担任中国景德镇陶溪川艺术中心的顾问，并是流域陶瓷艺术中心董事会的成员。
