Huang Yunxuan

Resident artist

Huang Yunxuan is a contemporary artist and curator who graduated from California Institute of the Arts with an MFA in film and video in 2018. Her mediums include video, ceramics, installation, painting, etc. Her writing direction involves visual and spatial images in the digital age. In her works, she focuses on the often overlooked objects and fleeting scenes in daily life, and reconstructs the real environment aesthetically through a variety of media. Under the theme of “ post-humanism”, her works continue to pay attention to the daily life that has been preserved in the fast-changing social status quo of science and technology, reflecting on people's general spiritual life through the reconstruction of familiar but alienated scenes, and interpreting other realities under the proliferation of virtual and digital images through the use of objects as visual symbols.
